The Chicago Tribune names Ace Hardware a 2017 ‘Top Workplaces’ Award Winner
Ace Hardware ranks No. 5 on the prestigious employer of choice list
Ace Hardware Corporation is pleased to announce that it has been named a 2017 Top Workplaces award recipient by the Chicago Tribune. Released today, the prestigious report ranks Ace Hardware No. 5 among all large companies to work for in Chicagoland.
The Top Workplaces lists are based exclusively on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including: alignment, execution and connection. More than 1,100 Ace corporate employees were surveyed, generating an industry leading 93 percent response rate.
The survey grades employers based on three critically important elements within an organization: employee engagement, organizational health and overall satisfaction. The survey uncovers levels of employee satisfaction across numerous areas, including pay and benefits, company direction and manager relationships.
According to Energage, surveyed team members at Ace Hardware scored their employer especially high across all areas of satisfaction, including organizational health, employment basics (i.e. benefits, work-life balance, etc) and overall employee engagement.
Specifically, Ace team members rated the connection they feel with their employer 18% above the industry average, meaning respondents feel appreciated, well-informed and enabled to work at their full potential. In the employment basics category, Ace scored well above the industry average in all five categories, including compensation, job expectations, training, flexibility and benefits.
