John Tovar
Vice President of Retail Operations and New Business
John Tovar, is the Vice President of Retail Operations and New Business at Ace Hardware Corporation.
In his current role, Tovar is responsible for leading a team of over 200 multi-unit leaders to support over 4000 Ace Hardware retail stores.
Prior to joining Ace Hardware in 2018, Tovar served as the Vice President of Merchandising at GameStop. In that role, he was responsible for the strategic direction for the company’s Buy-Sell-Trade business model across all 4,000 locations, wholesale distribution channels and ecommerce site.
Tovar brings more than 15 years of experience in the retail industry, including leadership roles with Home Depot and 24 Hour Fitness.
Tovar received an MBA from Georgia Tech and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Business Administration from UCLA.
