Ace Hardware is marching forward with store expansion. The Illinois-based hardware retail has opened 100 new stores so far this year, and is on pace to open more than 175 new locations by the end of 2025. Over the past five years, Ace has opened more than 930 new stores as it continues to expand its presence nationwide. The chain operates almost 5,200 retail stores in the United States.

Ace Hardware has marked the one-year anniversary of introducing its ELEVATE3 Ace experiential store format. Unveiled at Ace Hardware's 2024 Fall Convention, ELEVATE3 Ace reimagines the traditional hardware store by creating immersive brand experiences in four key areas: Paint, Power, Backyard & Barbeque, and Home Preservation, with the aim of making shopping easier and more "inspiring."

Homeowners are way behind in repairs needed for their most valuable investment, but Ace Hardware has a fix.

The facility is centrally located in Kansas City, Missouri, as a means to quickly deliver products to the company’s 5,000 locally owned stores.

The Kansas City ‘Retail Support Center’ is revving up to deliver. Ace Hardware’s new Kansas City distribution center — called the Retail Support Center in the co-op’s parlance — is the biggest in the Ace fleet of DCs. It covers 1.5 million square feet and measures a half mile from end to end.
