Honoring our nation’s brave veterans

A message from John Venhuizen, Ace Hardware President and CEO

Today, Ace Hardware honors the heroic men and women of our military who have so selflessly served, risked and given their lives so that much of the world may enjoy the splendor of freedom.

Many do not know this, but Ace Hardware was actually named after the “Flying Aces,” the courageous fighter pilots from the First World War. And today, that patriotism lives on at Ace, through the many Veterans and Active Duty military who shop at Ace and who serve in our stores, distribution centers and through our corporate offices.

And for the Veterans who have traded in their flak jackets for red vests as Ace store owners, associates or customers of our stores, we feel privileged to brush shoulders with you. Thank you for your faithful service.
