Ace Hardware Vaults to No. 6 Ranking in Entrepreneur’s 2020 Annual Franchise 500®

Recognized by entrepreneurs and franchisors as a competitive tool of measurement, the prestigious Franchise 500® ranked Ace Hardware No. 6, up a remarkable 7 spots from 2019’s No. 13 ranking. Ace was again named No. 1 in its category on the Franchise 500® ranking.

The key factors that go into Entrepreneur’s evaluation include costs and fees, size and growth, support, brand strength, and financial strength and stability. All franchises are given a cumulative score based on more than 150 data points, and the 500 franchises with the highest cumulative scores become the Franchise 500® in ranking order.
Entrepreneur specifically called out Ace’s differentiation via exclusive distribution deals with well-known companies such as Benjamin Moore and Stihl, as well as a successful focus on e-commerce resulting in an 81 percent increase in online sales in Q3 2019.
