Ace Hardware Named a 2018 Top Workplace by The Chicago Tribune
Employee feedback ranks Ace Hardware among top 10 companies to work for in Chicagoland
Ace Hardware is pleased to announce it has been named a 2018 Top Workplaces award recipient by The Chicago Tribune. The Top Workplace designation is based solely on employee feedback gathered from over 1,600 Ace Hardware team members through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection.
"We are incredibly proud to be ranked as a top 10 employer on the 2018 Top Workplaces list for the second consecutive year," said Kane Calamari, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Ace Hardware Corporation. “This recognition is a true honor made possible by our amazing team members who make Ace a great place to work every day.”
Ace Hardware team members graded the company particularly well in overall satisfaction, including organizational health and employee engagement. Specifically, Ace scored above the retail industry average for employee sentiment in terms of company values, direction, and meaningfulness of work.
“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”
