Ace Hardware appoints Rick Williams Vice President of Information Technology
Ace Hardware Corporation, the largest retailer-owned hardware cooperative in the world, is pleased to announce the promotion of Rick Williams to the position of Vice President of Information Technology (IT).
Reporting to Ace’s Chief Financial Officer, Williams will play an integral role in further driving strategic technology and systems management for Ace to shape business functions and deliver significant return on investments.
“Rick has been a loyal Ace employee for more than 25 years and is incredibly well-respected within the Ace Hardware organization,” said Bill Guzik, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Ace Hardware Corporation. “Rick knows our people and knows our business; these qualities are paramount to the success of our growing IT and business endeavors,” Guzik said.
Williams, 49, joined Ace Hardware in 1988 as a software developer within IT. He worked within the retail division of IT for more than 15 years and has worked with and supported every department at Ace over his career. He has held various positions within the organization, including Director of Software Engineering and most recently, Senior Director of IT Business Systems.
Rick earned his undergraduate degree at Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota, and his Masters of Business Administration from DePaul University.
