Ace Hardware Announces Expansion Plans For Its Distribution Center Near Columbus, Ohio

Ace Hardware brings job growth and economic development to Madison County

Ace Hardware Corporation, the world’s largest hardware cooperative, is pleased to announce expansion plans for its Retail Support Center (RSC) located in West Jefferson, Ohio.

Originally opened in 2014, the upcoming expansion of the West Jefferson RSC will add approximately 309,000 sq. ft. to the existing 534,000 square-foot facility. Construction for the project is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2018 with a target completion in the first quarter of 2019. According to Duke Realty, the property developer, the expansion will bring in an estimated 50 construction jobs to the community.

“We look forward to breaking ground on the expansion of our West Jefferson Retail Support Center, an integral piece in Ace’s overall supply chain,” said Lori Bossmann, Executive Vice President, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Ace Hardware Corporation. “Ace’s continued volume growth has driven our need for a larger facility to accommodate our growing business demands.”

The Retail Support Center in West Jefferson is a part of Ace’s network of distribution facilities strategically located around the world. It serves Ace Hardware retail locations throughout Ohio, parts of Michigan, Eastern Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Western Pennsylvania.
